Artist Name: Teada
Genre: Celtic, Irish Traditional
Country: Ireland

Artist Bio:

Emerging as one of the most exciting young Irish bands of recent years, Téada (meaning strings in the Irish language) are a traditional quartet with a rising reputation, thanks in parts to the spirited unison playing of fiddler Oisin MacDiarmada and flautist John Blake, backed by first-rate banjo and bouzouki from Sean McElwain and the sensitive bodhrah of Tristan Rosenstock.

Téada make intelligent music, sensitive and rollicking in turn, its sense of fun balanced by its sense of responsibility. Their recently released recording sees a fresh blend of instrumentals and vocals notable in its stylistic and melodic approach. —Courtesy Calabash Music
