Review:
In 1997, following on his huge South-east Asian success with "Denpasar Moon", Sabah Habas Mustapha returned to Indonesia clutching a handful of songs, a pocketful of dreams, a fistful of dollars and a bottleful of mosquito repellant. This time to Bandung, the capital of Sunda, West Java. There he met up with some of the finest young players of the distinctive sounds of Sundanese music and had a jolly good time for five days. This CD contains seven tracks presenting an eclectic mix of musical influences distilled through a Sundanese filter plus the bonus track "Habibeh" which was recorded in Jakarta and adds a final touch of Dangdut to this unique : album / mess / masterpiece / thing.
